Refunds

Application fees are non-refundable. Check your eligibility to apply by clicking this link first and ask your employer which type of worker screening application you need before you apply.

Tax Receipts

A tax receipt is automatically emailed to your Transport and Main Roads registered email address when you pay online through the worker portal or directly via BPOINT. If you require a receipt for work or tax purposes – please save the receipt you receive by email, as it cannot be reissued by worker screening. When searching your email account for your receipt, check your spam folders.

The information contained on the BPOINT receipt is managed by an external bank and the Worker Screening Unit cannot amend it. The BPOINT receipt does not show GST, however the application payment is GST exempt.

How to pay

There are three payment options when you apply through the worker portal. Our worker portal guide steps you through this payment method.

Credit/debit card

If you choose to pay by card, you will be prompted to enter your card details in the payment section and then transferred to the secure BPOINT system to finalise your payment. Once your payment has been finalised via BPOINT, you will be emailed a receipt and returned to the worker portal. A pop-up message will then confirm your application is complete.

Bank cheque or money order

If you choose to pay by bank cheque or money order, you must make it payable to Department of Seniors, Child Safety and Disability Services and follow the instructions in the payment section of the worker portal.

Your application will not be complete until your bank cheque or money order is received and processed by worker screening.

Defer payment to your employer or nominated representative

If you have an arrangement with a third party to pay your application, select the deferred payment option and follow the instructions on the worker portal. A link will be sent to the third party to allow them to make a payment via BPOINT.

Your application will not be complete until the third party payment has been received and processed by worker screening.

Fee exemptions

Volunteers do not have to pay for their disability worker screening application when they are engaged to provide unpaid disability work.
